re: Kirbycide?

It's when you suck someone in with Kirby's regular B attack and then walk off the edge, often killing both people.

re: Kirbycide?

It works on most people but light people (ex. Ness, Jiggy, etc.) escape before you kill them sometimes killing you instead.

re: Kirbycide?

nah lightness has nothing to do with it (except the possibility of your escape at the end)

lighter characters dont get out faster, you get out faster with lower damage or higher button bashing.

but the lighter you are (eg pichu) the less chance- when you both go to the bottom of the stage in a swallowcide- kirby will return with his stock.

pichu has 0 frames in which to jump (thereby saving yourself), ranging through weight to Bowser who has 7 frames to press jump

re: Kirbycide?

Kirby, Jigglypuff, Ness, Pichu, and Ice Climbers die at the same time as you do and you can't escape from an SD when using Swallowcide. (Did I miss any characters?)

yes you did and you are worng

wrong you can spit them out before you die (towards the bottom) and fly back to the stage
(i think)

re: Kirbycide?

you have two options really.

#1 spit them out by pressing A

#2 dont press anything

spitting them out- they get their jumps and upB back. they get boosted up, giving them time to react, and height to get back to the stage. kirby gets lag after spitting meaning he cant jump straight away to recover. he gets only the jumps he hasnt used left.

not pressing anything- when they break out bythemselves, they get their jumps and upB back. they get shot downwards and gravity affects them immediately. they may use a move unitentionally if they were spamming a button to get out. kirby gets boosted up with all his jumps back (reguardless of how many hed previously used.

in general, letting them break out gives them almost 0 chance of survival and you surviving. spitting gives them a high chance of recovering and you dying.

May I add that that's the reason why Melee is different from Brawl.
In Brawl, you can recover from almost anywhere. Kirbycide does work, but still, you have to let it go. If you spit out a terrible recovering character such as C.Falcon in Brawl under a stage, you still recover because of Kirby's jumping ability, Brawl's slow pace and C. Falcon's terrible recovery.

re: Kirbycide?

duran1, please don't do something annoying like toss a few hundred lines into your post which is nothing but empty space. I've removed them.

I always though kirby-cide was where you had the kirby turn into stone and fall into a chasm or pit or some such, a special skill of the AI.
