From a best character standpoint, Marth and Sheik should be higher than Falco.

No Falc deserves his position, shiek has no great smash attack, and many of her movers have pathetic knockback

Sheik's fair is one of the game's best finishers, her jab is quick, her tilts are the best combo starters in the game, and her downsmash lasts forever. Her recovery's above average, her aerials have tremendous priority, and her needles go through nearly every other projectile and complement her already beastly edge guard.

Falco's recovery is the only thing that makes me think he doesn't deserve his position.

Well... i was not suprised about peach being top teir. she as a long range, powerful special and great multihit aerials.

@ weird: well... almost . its hard to kill with it on 999%. you have to get it exactly sweetspotted to kill. and even then, bowser can survive it from the edge of the stage.

My first impression of the tier list was, "What's the point of a tier list if the creators of the tier list are gonna be all like 'oh this isn't to determine the best characters its just to determine which characters do the best' about it like a bunch of whores" and then I realized, "wait a minute, smash bros players are all a bunch of teenage guys and everyone knows teenage guys can't be trusted so eff this tier list mumbo jumbo and let me have my fun without everything needing to be labeled and then denied having a tangible reason for being labeled."

i think the arguement was 'which character has the best potential game' versus 'which character you should choose to play with'. as the game got older and metagame improvements led to character potential being filled, it began to reflect more the tourney results, not potential.
