I'm level 75, REDRIA, and I've been playing for 120 hours offline. I've not been able to find a single special item throughout my entire game. I've beaten everything up to the Sil Dragon. I remember I was getting rare weapons back in Hard with a bluefull section ID. I don't understand why REDIA is such a pain. I left the game on for about 60 hours hoping that the items would activate by hours played, but apparently that has nothing to do with it. I thought that I would start getting items at level 71, but I'm going to continue to check at 81, 91, 101, and 111. It might have to do with the amount of times you go back to Pioneer 2, how many items you buy in P2, how many items you've sold in P2, how much money you've recieved from selling items, or how much money you've spent in P2 because I remember that I suddenly started getting special weapons as soon as I got back from P2. I could be wrong though.

See you aren't having a problem you are just not getting lucky most the time it ain't your Hours or Level that finds you rares its your ID and its "Weapon Cycle" this is what determines what rares you find and how often and when you find them.


Redria is know for finding RED Weapons,Sheilds and Armors. Its isn't know for finding many weps but find some rares but just stick with it and trust me as long as you don't use GameShark or Code Breaker you will find rares just give it a shot.

I've been leveling up. I got to 102. I still haven't found any rare weapons, or rare anything for that matter. When I hit boxes that are supposed to have weapons inside them, there's nothing. After a while of killing enemies in an area, they just stop dropping weapons altogether. I haven't found any MAGs, I haven't found any rare shields, I haven't found any rare armors, varistas, db's sabers, dragonslayers, armor from de rol le, etc etc. I have never used a gameshark or codebreaker on PSO ver.2. I stopped playing my redria and went to blueful, but that hasn't worked either. I'm lvl 36 with my blueful and still haven't found a single special weapon. Oh, and I've also never seen a rare monster my entire pso career. Once I bought my own dreamcast I've never seen anything. When I first played on my friend's dreamcast I used to get varistas about every other darkclaw I killed, on normal difficulty. If anyone has any explanations I would be very appreciative.

Do you have codebreaker memory on your memory card though. If you do, delete it, as if the games sees you have even memory of a codebreaker on your card, it stops you finding rares.

No, I don't even own a codebreaker.

This seems to be a problem.

I felt like that at one point, but the thing is, you have to keep trying.

Try playing at 800-300 beats, I usually find good weapons around that for a strange reason. If that is a difficult time for you to play then, change the Dreamcast clock!

I found a flowens sword in forest 2 on hard it was a special weapon and it needs 430 ata to use i hope this solves you problem

That may have been rare on Version 1, but this is version 2 now, and that weapon isn't considered a rare anymore.

I usually found my V.2 rares in the ruins. They suck anyways. All I usually found was pickaxes, I've never found a nice piece of V.2 armor or weapons.
