I'm sorry but I wasn't sure where to post this, someone help me out though please. I can't even start the game up.

I need to know 2 things.

When I try to go online, it asks for my ORIGINAL PSO serial code, I never owned the original PSO, why does it ask for this? Was I only meant to buy Version 2 if I had the original? Can I obtain a code from the net? Or from Sega?

Also, are the servers for this game going to be shut down soon? Should I give the game back now? Is it any good offline?

the servers will be shut down at the end of this year, and in my opinion this game isnt so great offline.

was your dreamcast previosly owned? if so, you need to restart the internal memory before you enter any imformation. note: this will erase your internet imformation, so write it down beforehand.

Ok, thanks. My dreamcast is 2nd hand so that must be the problem, how do I reset the internal memory? Sorry for asking so many dumb questions. I did reset all my VMU's, I didn't know that PSO inserts data into the Dreamcsts memory.

your dreamcast's previous owner had pso and their original # is in the memory. call 1-800-USA-SEGA and you will hear the live support number after a while. On the live support line, ask how to restart your dreamcast's memory.

ok a update i think you hold X+Y and turn your dc on. (memory reset)

*sigh* yeah a lot of sites say that, but I've tried and it just isn't working. I'm gonna phone Sega in a few hours and see what they have to say, also I'm gonna contact the previous owner of the dreamcast and see if he can give me his old serial code.

I heard also that you only press X+B during the DREAMKEY boot up, so I might try that if I can find the damn disk.

umm for me its long distance (I think)...

to reset all you need is your Broswer disk then put it in and while turnig on your DC hold X + B til it asks for time and date it'll be reset then also if you already put in ISP info remember to write it down.
