There is a running DC PSO server that has been set up by a private party. Its free and US players can log on. I logged on to the server yesterday and there were about 60-70 people on. The server has not been up long so as the word spreads I am sure there will be many more players joining. This is great. I recently purchased a dreamcast and was disappointed to find that the official US servers were down, but after a bit of searching i stumbled across this.

Here is a link to instructions on how to setup a dialin server for you dreamcast on a win98/ME machine for playing PSO thru your PCs broadband connection so you don't have to have an ISP or use your phone line.

Now to log into the server you need to use codebreaker or use your newly setup PC-dreamcast server to trick your dreamcast into logging into the unofficial server instead of attempting to login to SEGA's non-existant server. I have never used the codebreaker method so I won't provide any except for the code that supposedly works to get you on. I use the PC-dreamcast server method and I know this method works.

If you have followed the directions above for the PC-Dreamcast server go to the winroute DNS settings and enable DNS forwarding and enter this DNS address. 24.159.157.185. This DNS server has been graciously provided by Neo-Ice from psocheats.net. After you have entered that DNS into winroute then go into your Dreamcast's DNS settings and change the primary DNS to 24.159.157.185 and the secondary one to 0.0.0.0. This is what I did. After that I popped PSO into my DC and connected to my PC dialup and joined the server.

If you don't have the PC-dreamcast server going but you do have codebreaker working then you can use this code for PSO V2 and log in normally.

I havent played it much yet but I know there are still some bugs and not all features work but it is better than nothing and it is still pretty fun.

The server isnt just for dc and isnt just for people in the us, its for any verion of pso dc and also for pso pc for people who live anywhere in the world . The server will also allow GC players on to it but they will only add that in when the official servers go down.
