anything helps.
with all the members that neoseeker has if everyone would fold just one unit we would skyrocket up the ranks,It is a slow climb with just 6 or 7 of us folding

re: Folding @ Home II

Well for the next week I am going to try a fun experiment. My work laptop is a Dell 6400M with a Quadro 2700M video card. According to Nvidia, it is the lowest high-end workstation card they have for laptops. So tonight I am going to run FAH on it and see what happens.

I plan on installing the console version and setting it up exactly how I have mine. I will let everyone know how it goes after a few WU gets done.

no quotes just -service
you can only get the newest version.they remove the older ones whe the new ones are finished with the beta testing.

re: Folding @ Home II

Thanks Courgan.

Wow the Quadro drivers are over 110MB. Also there are 5 different versions of the drivers: Performance, Graphics, 3dmark...and a few others. Is this normal? My home computer has a GeForce and XP, my laptop has a Quadro and Vista so I don't know if this is normal or not.

re: Folding @ Home II

Well this is interesting. I finally have been able to install FAH. But I am not able to install the high performance clients. It keeps telling me that the 2700m is not a supported card. So I have installed the normal client version. I will have more details on this later on.

Yes we will!

This is a pain in the A$$! I have finally found a way to get the GPU Client to work. I had to run the -forcegpu nvidia_g80 flag but it looks like it is working.

And from what I can see it is taking 2 minutes and 30 seconds to do 1% while running project 5770. Also I am running project 5751 on my 9800gx2 and that is taking 2 minutes to do 1%. So it looks like they are performing on the same level.

This has been a long night!
