I'm not too much into car audio. The only time I really drive my car is the ~2 miles to walmart and back once a week. The only time I wish I had a nice one is the 6 hour drive back home from my uni. Usually I just plug my ipod into an xm radio which has no subscription. It has an audio input and FM output so it works for me. Somewhat, it can get staticy some times.
Hell, I only noticed that my rear left speaker was out a few months ago. Too lazy to fix it though, and I cant notice it. ------------------- quote TurMoiL911

Ok so i think that this is the right forum for me to post this in, i've decided not to make a thread just incase it is the wrong one, what i want to know is were i can get a bigger harddrive and maybe a bigger RAM? Also how do i no what ones will fit into my laptop, all i cam really tell you is that it is a Packard Bell EasyNote laptop and has Windows Vista on and intel Pentium Dual-Core in it, and the only reason i can tell you is because of the stickers on the front. ------------------- Jesus Didn't Tap! ![]() Make Poverty History! quote hiigaranNot necessarily true. Matrix: revolution was way better than Matrix:Reloaded, but the Original matrix was still the best. Also Diablo III is coming out in the next year or 2, and it should hold up to the Diablo series since Blizzard's track record is pretty good on getting well designed games out. @reilly31 - What's the model of your Packard Bell laptop 9you should be able to find the model and type underneath the laptop on a sticker. That way we can help you find out what type of RAM to get. As for hard drive, maybe this SATA notebook hard drive will do: WD 160GB SATA notebook hard drive or search NewEgg for bigger notebook hard drives. ------------------- No gaming right now... my T42 video is toast (almost)... you have DDR2 Ram so if you go into any computer store and ask for DDR2 Laptop Memeory the people will most likely have it.

look around on the net too, its usually cheaper - just mind the shipping costs.
as for the RAM itself, you will need to make sure you buy a stick which matches your current RAM speed. theres no point in buying faster ram unless your swapping out all the sticks because RAM will go as fast as the slowest stick. it also goes without saying that you should never buy slower RAM either. and if possible, match the latency, or your system will go at the highest latency of the RAM (higher is slower). quoteno i mean the way he died kind of sucked. he could have gone out in a better way...whatever that is. -------------------

we need to know more about your current RAM information. download CPU-Z from www.cpuid.com. it should give you the speed and timings of your RAM under the memory tab and the SPD tab.

read their return policy anyway, just so you know your rights (hah, sounds like an arrest), but as long as its DDR2, and your current RAM is DDR2, then it will work, no matter what. the difference in speed and latency just affect performance.

never install any hardware while your computer is on. always while its off and diconnected from the power supply.
basically when you open up your computer, you first need to touch an unpainted metal surface to discharge any electricity in you. your body contains static electricity which can fry your hardware. after disconnecting the ac power to your PSU, press the power button in the front to discharge the psu. these are all just safety precautions. anyway, get your ram, avoid touching the circuitry by handling it from the edges. align the ram with the slot and puch it in on a slight angle. it will take a little bit of fiddling to get it in, and a bit of force, but dont apply too much as you may have it the wrong way around (the little notch in the middle avoids inseting it the wrong way). you know its in properly when the fasteners on either side are both upright and in the groove on the side of the ram. all you have to do now is turn on the computer and see if the ram amount has increased. if so, great, you can close the computer and start using it normally. if not...well well get to that later if it happens. -------------------
