re: General discussion IV

yeah but is that inside your room. ambient temperature means the outside temperature, but its outside, as far as your system is concerned (ie. its surroundings)

If telling temps is important you can purchase a thermometer.

re: General discussion IV

if your speeds and voltages are set to stock, and your innards are relatively clean, then theres no need to stress over temps.

ya groped the heatsink yet or not?

Yah also turn the fan to 70% that keeps most cards in the mid 40's to low 50's at idle.

How then will you explain the 67 degrees temp of my 8600gt at idle when the fan is set to 100%?

re: General discussion IV

What's the real difference between a standard mobo and a server mobo, besides that server mobos support crappy RAM and are expensive?
I really enjoy the fact than it is possible to go dual quad-cores lol.
Or even quad quad-cores.

Also, the AM3 mobo I'm getting requires a BIOS update to fully support the AMD Phenom II 955 at it's rated speed, I know where to get the download, but how do I get to work? Floppy? CD? USB flash drive? And do I do it after I install the mobo driver?
