Then the AntiVir banner would come.The change now is that I hit ENTER, I have to wait for 20-25 secs, and then the AntiVir banner comes on the welcome screen itself. then the taskbar pops up(On the welcome screen). and I can go through the start menu and all. Then it freezes. And after a sec, all comes back to normal and all is set.And I'm like WTH? P.S. I have AntiVir and Spybot updated, and have run a full scan with them and had no detections. ??!!?!?! 	You'll normally need to udate your bios via a boot up floppy disk. if your PC doesn't have a floppy, then you'll need to boot up in a bootable USB thumb drive. Once you've done so, then you can run the firmware update from your bootable floppy or thumb drive. It shouldn't matter when you install the mobo drivers. Updating the firmware or BIOS is usually OS independent. ------------------- No gaming right now... my T42 video is toast (almost)... I'm getting zig zaggy lines all over the place.
