re: General discussion IV |

This is really confusing me. For the longest time, every night my internet connection would seem to drop for about 1-2 seconds. It was just long enough that it would kick me off MSN, IRC and xbox live. Web sites wouldnt load for about 2 seconds, then suddenly everything would go back to normal.
Friday I decided to start keeping track of what times it happened. First it was at 8:54pm, then saturday it was 8:47, and today it was 8:52. I can not figure it out. I'm about to call my ISP and see what they say, but this is very strange how my connection drops for only a few seconds at almost the same time every day. ------------------- quote TurMoiL911

Check your router for any possible security leaks. What it sounds like with your description is that it could be possible that your ISP is failing over to a redundant switch (at least the connection anyways). Maybe around the time they do it, they might have some sort of automation when it happens.
Edit: lol... i dun care about recognition. I enjoy posting in here. I was just giving you shit ------------------- No gaming right now... my T42 video is toast (almost)... I'm getting zig zaggy lines all over the place. Neo HTML Markup help

Is there anything grammatically wrong in this sentence?

I think it should be "with constant exposure to music".

"more quickly" should be "quicker" and What The Slayer said too.

quote Nu Wa RocksI know. Every place I've asked has said they aren't hiring. I figured this, but damn. Guess I'll just save up my allowance for ever. At least I have a 360 so I can still play games. Windows is messed up and I have Ubuntu dual boot. Don't know if any of my games will work. ------------------- ![]() Jeff Gordon FTW.

Why not provide some simple services.
Some examples are: babysitting, car washes, walking the neighbor's dogs, lawn-mowing, etc... If you are good with your neighbors, I'm sure some of them won't mind paying you some money for those services. Easy way to make a little extra money. Shit, if you lived near me, I would gladly pay you $10 to wash my car, and $25 to mow my lawn!!!! I don't like washing my car, and I am too lazy to take it to a car wash. i'm one of those people that would appreciate home service (someone coming by and providing these simple services) instead of having to go and do these items elsewhere. ------------------- No gaming right now... my T42 video is toast (almost)... I mowed my next door neighbors lawn twice a month for about 5 years. They gave me between $20 and $30 each time. It only took about 30-45 minutes to do.

damn, took me a while to find this thread. slayer, any chance of making the next thread a sticky? speaking of which i think weve only got a few more pages.
anyway, has anyone noticed that this forum has declined in activity a little? or is it just me? either way, anyone got an idea of how to increase activity? anyway, onto why im really here...in another thread i found out that AMD was releasing some 16 core processor for servers. no doubt it will becoe available for everyone else in the future, but this made me wonder, why would anyone ever need more than 4...or even 8 cores? doesnt it seem overkill for gamers? especially when the video card takes the grunt of it all. -------------------
