Maybe GTA X will need the 16 core one.
And yeah I noticed the reduced activity too. And about the sticky part, isn't the General Discussion link already there below the banner? -------------------

quote hiigaranTheres a link in the header for this thread When this one reaches 30 pages, I'll make the next GD a General Discussion and Introductions thread. if anything, its gone up in activity. I remember about 6 months ago this forum was hovering around 30ppd. Last week it was at 80ppd. Its dropped down slightly to 60ppd right now. quote Saransh ComsoleCrap, I forgot all about that. The only problem with that is people rarely come in here asking for over clocking advice. Now I think it would just be easier to read individual help threads on it, rather than have a few people trying to get help at once in the same thread. ------------------- quote TurMoiL911

but it isn't repectable at all not to have an overclocking thread in the General Computer Hardware & Overclocking forum.

You can make a guide for doing basic over clocking if you want though. I just think it would be easier to have separate threads for over clocking help rather than confining it all into one thread.

I got a question, what is the real difference between crossfire, and just using a motherboard that supports multiple gpu's. (I believe it is called a dualslot.)

re: General discussion IV |

Crossfire (like SLI) is pretty much connecting 2 or more video cards together on a motherboard and having them run together. A motherboard that has more than one PCIe X16 port (to support multiple GPU's) just lets you use crossfire or SLI.

re: General discussion IV |

Oh, so you need multiple gpu slots in order to use crossfire?

Yes, Crossfire requires you to have 2 video cards, and to run 2 video cards you need 2 or more PCIe x16 ports on your motherboard.

quote The SlayerThere's also hybrid crossfire too. Which uses an onboard 3*** and up gpu and a single dedicated pci-e gpu.

quote aspect of baneOnly if all three components support it. It would say right in your mobo manual if the onboard gpu will do it. Then I would have to say the 4870 would be stupid if it didnt.
