i love red alert 2, but freaking EA ruined red alert 3. it looks so childish.
homeworld 1 is one of my all time favorites. again, homeworld 2 was a little more of a disappointment, but its bearable.
Flight Sim X is another favorite of mine. its not exactly a game but its as good as one for me...and i have no idea how i get even 25 FPS with my specs. thank god for my tweaks.

hey hiigaran, you know about my mobo. It is the ECS R410-M. The OEM one.
So you can't overclock it, right? (I can't see any fsb speed option on the bios and it cannot be OC'd by any software too.)

Well, to play GTA IV, I needed to upgrade my Pentium D 915 2.8Ghz. So, after knowing that I can't overclock it, I wanted a new cpu.
I have the LGA 775 socket, and I think that is for the P4s, duals, core 2 duos and core 2 quads.

Now, my mobo information page says that it supports upto Pentium D 9xx series, no more than that.
Why is that if I have the LGA775 socket?

because it is newer technology than that of your motherboard. sometimes its possible to extend support of newer hardware with BIOS updates, but dont count on it. anyway, its better to just wait, and save up for a new computer. i know, its easier said than done, but the reward is well worth it.

well, I'll leave it alone then. will think of it once I get a new mobo.
