well im glad the activity has risen. gives me more to do - i hope its going to stay strong.

and for a forum with such a PPD, im actually surprised there isnt as much stuff to report as other forums.

regarding the response from the ISP, do you think a DoS attack really happened or could it be revenge?

4chan seems to get some sort of attack at least once a week. Some bring down the site for a few days, some just slow it down.

so someone on 4chan decides to turn onto the site and bring it down? seems kind of ironic.

I doubt its someone from the site, 4chan has pretty much pissed off everyone on the internet, so it could be pretty much anyone doing it.

I think it's more of a "I'm doing this because I want to and I can." mentality. It's an ego thing.

In the hacking community it's all about reputation. We don't see it as much since we don't really care, but just like ebay and their feedbacks, hacker's reputation are a huge deal.

Deleting your post is really only useful when nobody else has replied to you though, because then you either embarrass yourself (if you are quoted), or you embarrass others (like hiigaran here who now looks like a complete whackjob, talking to himself).

Hey guys, I think I have a topic that many people know next to nothing about in terms of hardware, and I want to make an extensive writeup about it. But I want to do it when I'm bored at camp, but there's no internet there. So, is there a way to save like 30 something webpages with firefox easily so I can slap it on a thumb drive and take it with me?
