oh... thanks for the heads up.
Btw, I looked in the 'Folding@Home' thread and I didn't understand it properly. Is it this program you download? And what is the point on downloading it? (Heard it was about proteins etc. I'm not good in biology) ------------------- Need supply for your Pokemon Shop: WWW.POKMCREATER.WEEBLY.COM

As said before thermal paste should go on the CPU instead of the HSF.
Also the stuff he was using was Ceramic, and it does usually take a bit more. The reason is because it spreads way thinner then AS5. The guy in the Vid did use a bit much though.

re: Going to Build (now I AM going to build) |
quoteyeah, you download a program, and it uses your unused processing power to simulate protein behavior. even if you set the maximum processing power to 100%, it will only ever use what is available, and hence, it will never interfere with anything you do. you can ask in the folding at home thread on detailed step by step instructions on getting it all set up. -------------------

another question, i forgot to check weather the psu was from atx or a different brand. I went on the url but it was out of stock so they wouldn't show me the overview of the product so would anyone by any chance know weather the psu is from atx?

ATX is not a brand of PSU but a type. Basically an ATX PSU is what you want and that is an ATX. The make is Arctic Power.

Yep. Might want to look into getting a case with space for a side fan though, depends if you will be overclocking. What you're looking for is something like "Compatible with Standard ATX PSUs." Also, any case that says ATX for example "Casecom Black/Silver Trim Mid Tower ATX Case" will work with that PSU. Second one looks awesome with the red fan and the hidden drives.

quotei doubt it. its painful enough doing this without having to get someone to teach overclocking. the cases selected are fine. -------------------

I wont be overclocking.
(Is overclocking about making the comp faster than its supposed to be?) ------------------- Need supply for your Pokemon Shop: WWW.POKMCREATER.WEEBLY.COM

Well technically there is no predetermined limit on how fast you want your processor ram or video card.

re: Going to Build (now I AM going to build) |
quote SmvsrawpersonYou're right but, Gligar - in a nutshell, yes. You don't really even need a side fan for overclocking, it just helps blow air in over your components. Both of those cases will be fine, just pick the one you like the look / price of. ------------------- Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.66GHz (F7 Pro) 4GB DDR2 @ 800MHz GeForce 8800GT 512MB MSI P31 (MS-7392) WD Caviar Blue 500GB LG 20" WSXGA+ Windows 7 Ultimate x64

im thinking to buy a amd phenom x4 965 3.4Ghz, will this be a good idea? Its just a couple of pounds extra compared to amd phenom x4 955 3.2 GHz.
The psu that hii gave me is out of stock and will not be able to be purchased on ebuyer (ebuyer stopped stocking that specific psu for some wired reason), so will this psu work?: PSU EDIT: I relized that the case i gave on the link was the wrong case, i was talking about this case. Would everything fit in this case? ------------------- Need supply for your Pokemon Shop: WWW.POKMCREATER.WEEBLY.COM

quoteyeah, go for it, as long as you dont focus too much on the cpu aspect and remember that a better video card for a slightly slower cpu is better for gaming. -------------------

Don't get that case as it comes with a PSU. The PSU you linked is the same as the discontinued one but more powerful (might have more connectors - not sure).
