re: Building my first computer

first off stay away from the rosewill psu they are unreliable

stick to brands such as coolermaster, antec, thermaltake, corsair etc.

i would go with a Western Digital hard drive over the samsung.

What games and what resolution will you be gaming at with this computer?

Sorry for not responding. I got some responses on another forum, here's what I think I'm going for right now.

Tell me if there's anything you think I should switch up.

re: Building my first computer

ahh no problem

looks like they basicly suggested the same changes that i did.

I do not know if Nvidia is your preference, but you should check out this 4890 Turbo pre overclocked card:

re: Building my first computer

pity you dont have 820 bucks, because this would mow down everything:

quote another thread

DVD $25.99

Case $99.98

HDD $49.99

Mobo $61.99

Video Card x2 $189.99 x2 = $379.98

PSU $109.99

RAM $83.99

CPU $195.99

prices listed before rebates.

AMD 965 3.4 Ghz, 4 GB DDR3 1600 mhz RAM, overclocked HIS HD4890 video card, and a solid 850 watt psu. enough said. and of course, the coolermaster 922 HAF.
now you could swap the case for something cheaper, and swap the 965 to a 955 processor ad it will get you under budget - its your call.

re: Building my first computer

Sounds like a good Idea

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103674&cm_re=phenom_955-_-19-103-674-_-Product

I think you would be better off with a quad core vs dual. quad cores may not be utilized much now, but in the future they will be.
