Room 6 in the Cave has a switch that you have to stand on on in order for it to stay open. The room north of it (Room 28 in my guide) has a North ball do I bring it in somehow. When I get off of the switch it it closes.

I am stuck at this room to, its the one where you come in and oon the right and left there is water, there is a button and then a 2x2 square of blocks and a door.

Yes, you need to bring it in somehow. You need to use the Magnetic Gloves set to South and pull the magnetic ball over onto the switch in order to hold the door open. Hope that helps you.
