on that part i stayed at the edge of the screen and they came so i gunned them all down

Crap well I went to go check for this game at my local best buy and they don't have it in stock yet... *sighs* next week I suppose...

That part is so hard it's insane. It's not too bad with 2 players though. Anyways, to get past mission 3 I took the other route where you get the Ostrich Slug. Right now I'm up to the boss on mission 4.

I love this game i've played it in the arcade and i have the demo disc of it and i can't stop playing it, however i think that 40$ is a little much for a 5-6 lvl game if im correct and i could be beaten in under like 3 hours maybe.

It can be beaten in less than an hour if you do it without using a continue. The first 4 missions take about 30 minutes and the last mission is a 30 minute marathon. So far my best time in arcade mode is 1:09 with 1 continue.

It'll take you a while to learn each mission though. They all have multiple paths, except mission 5, and they're all really hard. I figure it took me about 7-8 hours to get through the game the first time.

So did you unlock those 2 extra stages like you said there were after completing the game? I'm curious as to what they're like if its true

I like Storming the Mothership better than Fat Island but they're both pretty cool.

In STM you get to play the last half of mission 5 as one of General Morden's troops. You can choose to play as either a rifle, shield, or bazooka troop and you fight alongside a bunch of other AI controlled troops. It's actually really hard, I haven't beaten it yet.

FI is basically just a mini-game where the object is to collect more food than your opponent and gain more weight than they do before the time is up. You can't kill your opponent but you can throw obstacles to try and block them. It's only fun if you're playing against another player though.

The bonus games sound a little disappointing, I was hoping for entirely new stages. Although playing as the troops does sound pretty bad ass in my opinion

im just glad people still have room in their hearts for a 2d side scrolling shooter, i hope the next two are better.

knowing me i will probably buy this and play it over and over.

You know, I was in Best Buy the other day holding this game in my hand... I had $47 in my wallet too... but I ended up not buying it... as much as I love the MS series, $40 for this is just too much for me... I'll probably go check for a second-hand copy soon though...
