	Well as we all know the game is now out in America, so for those of you that have bought it, could you give us some opinions in this thread? Is it worth the $40? Is the replayibility very high? All that stuff, thank you -------------------

	IGN.com gave it a 6.8, here's what they had to say about it... quote I love the Metal Slug series. In the arcade, only the slowdown has ever bothered me. Now that it's gone, the Xbox version runs incredibly fast, perhaps too fast for some folks. It's a fantastic shooter experience and (though I have only played four of the Slug games) Metal Slug 3 has always been my favorite. The additions, even the two new modes, are just minor touches. If this game were $20 or even $30 it would merit a better score and better recommendation. This is not a $40 value unless you absolutely must have this game on your Xbox. When this game drops in price (and it will), that's when you'll want to snatch it up for sure. If you are dying for an arcade shooter, there aren't many choices on Xbox, so if you're impatient and can't wait for a price drop, Metal Slug 3 won't disappoint. It's challenging and a lot of fun, it just doesn't make much use of what the Xbox has to offer. I must admit that I agree with the price tag thing... I think the companies are just trying to milkl money out of the die-hard MS fans that they know will pay this... -------------------

The price does seem a little high but I might cave and pick it up this week anyway. It's such an awesome and addicting game that it never gets boring. Especially with 2 players. 	have you played the demo at a store before it simply is a challenging game i got it yesterday for a 20.00 at a store and i think its fun i beat it in a day though but its cool how in the first level youcould take the shortcut and take the vechicle and go under water or continue on foot into the forest either way the first level boss i kinda hard took me like 7 times to beat it since when you die you start at the beggining of the level pshhhhhhh overally i give it a 3.00/5.00 since lack of lifes and incredible difficulty two player is fun though since you cooperate on levels its one of the best 2d games snk has to offer for xbox other than snk vs capcom hehe theyre having a 4 player on screen battle lol -------------------

Half.com is an affiliate of eBay and you can buy stuff from other users for brand new or used, kinda like Amazon I guess. I rented this yesterday and it's fun and bad ass. Kinda hard though. I suck at it.

	So I finally picked up Metal Slug 3 today. After calling a bunch of stores, I was able to find it for $45 Canadian. That's about $30 US. I played it for a couple of hours this afternoon with a friend and we had a blast. He's not so great at games and kept losing all his lives quickly, so we only got to level 3. 	I've been going all around my town looking for this game but nobody cares to carry it... so I figure I'll have to get it online or something, really sucks though -------------------

	eh i think spending 40$ is a little much for a short game like this, i could understand if like it had more lvl or better xbox live features such as multiply co-op and such. so i think i will wait for the price to drop or just find a used copy -------------------

	The game is okay the graphics aint all that but the gameplay is fun,especially when u r playing it in 2 player mode. My rating is 8 out 10

	I give it 8/10, as well. The graphics are charming, the animation is great, the pacing is fantastic, but the continue system is identical to that of the original Contra, minus the ability to earn additional lives. Contra was far easier than this game, too, so you really get worked over (and possibly frustrated) by the strictness of the continue system here. The lack of an online co-op mode hurts it, too. This could be fixed with an update, but as the franchise has changed hands since this game was made the chances of this ever happening are somewhere between "snowballs chance in hell" and "chance of the Arizona Cardinals ever winning the Super Bowl".
