A patch for Windows XP??? |
|
Oh won't someone please help? I really like this awesome game especially the Iraq levels and the great artwork that almost makes you feel like you're really there. I have Windows XP running on a DEll 38 series. The game HAS worked well before, but now, whenever I play it and pause the game, the screen starts blinking. Also, whenever I pick up treasures, I can no longer go to the pause menu. If there is a good patch that can help Indy and the Infernal Machine work with XP, please write to me. My email is efaith@frontiernet.net. I would appreciate your help and to the designers of the Indiana Jones games, (Infernal Machine & Emperor's Tomb) BRAVO! sequels! Please?!

I don't have the 'blinking' problem but I have trouble starting new stages (XP Home edition).
When I reach the stage, there is a short movie showing Indy walking/parachuting or whatever to the startpoint of the stage, and then the 'camera' tilts up and I only see the sky/clouds. When I use my controls I can hear Indy running, jumping, whipping etc. but the screen keeps showing the sky and I can't see Indy and his surroundings. I have experienced this trouble at the start of stage Canyonland (1) and Babylon (2) but somehow after **endless** restarting the stage finally it worked. Now I am at the start of stage 3 and have the same trouble and can't get it to work properly. It's frustrating!!!! Any idea's??????

I have the Infernal Machine and am running it on XP Service Pack 2. I have the same blinking problem on the in-game options menu, and when you pick up an item it will not let you access the options menu. Anything that can be done to correct the problem?

Yeah TB226,
go to video settings, select a different resolution to force the game to redraw the frame, and fixed. Reset to original Res if required.

I run Windows Media Player in the background and it works fine. Without Media Player the game freezes on the loading screen.
