Da Vinci obsessed over that painting and carried it around with him for 40 years.

It's famous for quite a few reasons. First off, her name is a pretty interesting story. "Mona" is an anagram for Amon, the Egyptian god of male fertility where as Lisa is the French name for Isis, the Egyptian Goddess of female fertility. Also, if you read the Da Vinci Code you'll know it'll go even deeper and call her a transvestite.
This is a theory, of course, but it's backed up pretty well. You can back it up by saying the horizon in back of her is higher on one side then it is on the other signifying both masculine and feminine quality's. Then there's, of course, Leo dressing in drag... -------------------  | |

I always thought the Mona Lisa was famous for being stolen multiple times. But I am now shocked to find out that she was actually famous for being a transvestite, what a shock. Whatever that is your smoking, its apparently a good drug to smoke.
 If you look closely at her face, you can see... A faint outline of a mask at the top of her brow. She's an impostor! I have also noticed in multiple pictures that the eyes do follow you. It just creeps me out to go to sleep with two demonic pictures of dogs on my wall... Just hanging there, plotting. | |
