Honestly, I don't think that the Mortal Kombat series has been doing too well the past few years..

Contact, it was such a fun and quirky DS game, but it never got popular.

The Mortal Kombat series hasn't been doing as well recently because of the quality of the games. They aren't bad now, but they are nowhere near as good as the older games. Mortal Kombat III and Mortal Kombat Trilogy were amazing fighting games, but modern Mortal Kombat games are average fighters with over-the-top violence. They aren't competing with the best like they used to, and have been outclassed by games like Virtua Fighter.

A list of excellent games that I feel haven't sold enough:
- Okami
- Killer 7
- Shadow of the Colossus
- Viewtiful Joe

Beyond Good and Evil seems like a superb game, but I haven't played it yet because it has been taken off store shelves quite a long time ago. I still can't find it.

Yeah, the LoK series was especially hyped over in Australia. the Australian OPSM was always going on about Soul Reaver 1's great graphics and gameplay (It's intro was also voted the 3rd best cut-scene of any PSone game).
... And a Soul Reaver 2 demo (with other demos) was included with the actual PS2 console.

So it's a bit of a shame that it never really "hit off" as a popular series.

indigo prophecy. pretty awesome game. wonder whether anyone has actually played it. it had a nice storyline that grips the player. wish more like it came.

Rayman;s platforming games havent been doing so well -_- And rayman raving rabbids 2 almost doomed rayman(RRRs 1 actually helped until #2)

I'd say Rayman Raving Rabbids is pretty popular in party game terms. Raving Rabbids doesn't really deserved that much recognition anyway though.

Did that game have it's name changed from 'Fahrenheit' over in the USA? It was a pretty decent game, quite enjoyed playing through it.
