Seriously though, I see where Dove are coming from. There is a problem with anorexia and teenage girls trying to be super thin and harming themselves, and unlike most other companies Dove are saying, whatever shape you are, thats fine, thats you.

It does help to get rid of all the self esteem issues that women have. If you are actually shallow enough to only want someone for how they look, well I hope Hawkeye ends up with some morbidly obese woman who looks like a man so that he realises looks aren't important.

Dove aren't telling women it's okay to be ugly or fat, all the women in their adds are good looking in their own way, they wouldn't have chosen people who looked awful because then their products wouldn't sell. They have just chosen to use women of all age ranges and people who are a little larger in size than most models.

I think it's a good thing, and even though of course they are only doing it for their own benefit to win around female customers, it's also a good thing not to be faced with perfect looking airbrushed models wherever you go. The models they choose are more normal if anything and none of them are ugly

Wow peoples' ideas of fat nowadays are crazy. The girls in the picture are not fat at all. They are bigger girls, yes, but they aren't fat. They just don't look like Kate Moss, which is what every guy seems to want nowadays.

It's funny how some guys (and girls) seem to be so picky when they could use some work themselves. Let me guess, all you guys who are actually being serious about those girls being ugly and fat, ya'll must look like supermodels?

I agree, they aren't fat at all. The average dress size in the UK is around a size 16 now, a lot of Doves models are like a size 12 or so, so they are just normal.

Although tbh I don't think "every guy" wants stick thin women like Kate Moss. There is all this "curvy" crap around today and if you are naturally slim you get more hastle over it than being like a size 16 or so.
