I was looking through the introductions thread out of boredom, and there was something I noticed.
There were alot of people who had joined that day/recently, yet had good names, avatars, typed in size 1, etc. (i.e, they weren't acting like you'd expect a new member to). Yet despite this, they claimed to be new to Neo, which I highly doubt. Why do they do this? I could understand wanting a fresh start... but why would you draw attention to yourself by taking on the traits of older members? Discuss... see: this and this post as examples | |

I think there's a law that a person who joins has to use size 2 font for at least 2 weeks or they get tasered for being frauds.

In the case of actual older members pretending to be new, I'm going to go with the fact that they may want to shed some bad reputation associated with their old name.

Maybe they were members on other sites and know markup? My brother (Kevin Second) is a member here on Neoseeker and he was a member on a Line Rider website. He knows quite a few of the tags, how to upload avatars and signatures, the sort.
