This is a question I've been wanting to ask and was only just reminded of by this article= http://www.gamegrep.com/interview/16002-should_you_come_out_of_the_gaming_closet_on_a_first_date/ only it's sort of in reverse.
Guys, would a gamer chick be a turn off to you? Would knowing said chick was a gamer make her attractive? Would it be a plus or a minus or would it make no difference at all? I only ask because I'm curious to see what the biggest response is. I would like a girl who has the same interests as me, so yeah, a girl who likes games is a plus.

It wouldn't be a "turn-on" per se, because I see that as a part of a girl's personality, which doesn't really dictate how "hott" I find them, but yes, I would love it if the girl I was going out with was into video games. My ex was a little bit into them (mostly shitty games for the PS2, though I did get her addicted to Guitar Hero III) and it was kinda cool because we would bond over a racing game. Gaming is a huge part of my life, since it's one of my three hobbies (the other two are writing and drumming), and to have a girlfriend who shares my interests is (to me) a massive part of what makes or breaks a relationship. It's the same thing of the music my girlfriend would listen to; if she listens to pop or rap, that's fine, I'm not dumping her over that, but if I can get into an intelligent conversations about 70's rock versus 80's rock then I'm sold.

The other day I was sitting through a boring lecture in Logic and was switching between dozing off and doodling between notes. I then looked over to the girl next to me and she was drawing Mario mushrooms. I was instantly attracted.

I don't think any guy would find a girl that plays video games as a turn off. But I think the question should be is do you find it a turn off that a girl is better as video games than you?

if a gurl plays games really doesnt make a diff to me as long as shes NOT OVERLY addicted
