re: gaza conflict |
|
I'm off to school now so I can't say much more and really don't see this argument going anywhere, so I'm going to say this before I leave:
People cannot say "Israel is just using self defense" to justify what they are doing. When almost 900 people have died, when 3500 people have been injured, when homes have been destroyed, when schools are hit by rockets...what Israel has been doing simply cannot be justified. Fighting Hamas DOES NOT justify any of that - don't you see? What Israel is doing will not help in the long run. All it does is simply give the Palestinians even MORE reason to hate Israel. This has only brewed more hatred towards them, and hatred is not what we need right now. Murdering hundreds of innocent civilians so you can kill a few Hamas militants and and destroy bases WILL. NOT. HELP. What Israel has done here is the worst step they could've taken, and by the end of all of this, more than a thousand of Palestinians will be dead. Will it have been worth it? No, it will not. Save Gaza. This must end.

So shit can happen is now a military slogan? I thought it was about strategy and everything was thought out and planned, but you make it sound like it's a game of battle ship and you just bomb whatever the hell you can.

quote EurekaSo what? The hundreds of people killed in the middle east due to NATOs operations don't count? The ongoing war in Iraq and Afghanistan is making the Taliban love the west? Hamas put there people in these citations. War isn't clean cut, things happen on the go. ------------------- ![]()

Hamas is to blame for provoking the beast. Israel is to blame for being the provoked beast.
I think that the best way to fight terrorism is the way they do it to us, covertly and with intelligence. Just because they attack our civilians, it does not mean we should attack "their" civilians. The truth is that many Palestinians have no leaning and just want to care for their families. They are potential allies against Hamas. ------------------- ![]() Former Rome

re: gaza conflict |
quote Subzer0I'm not. That was bad, which is why I said they should look where they shoot. But if you see a rocket being fired from a building you would attack the building. Its not like they had a massive investigation to check if it was actually coming from there. They just saw the threat passed on the info higher up and a strike was ordered. ------------------- ![]()

quote RomeIt's funny because they have a lot more experience in conflicts like this than the US yet they fail to fight in a efficient manner. Sure looks that way. 60 years and still continuing.
quote DiP_N_DaBaYThe amount of innocent civilians they have killed over the years is simply inexcusable. Not perfect my ass. quote Slumpy monkeyYeah. So they just nuke a random building without even knowing for sure where the rocket came from. Good reasoning. To them, killing a Hamas militant is equivalent to killing a civilian imho.
