The controller method would work if it's someone in a dorm or apartment complex and assuming they didn't steal the controllers as well.

Sounds like a bit of a lost cause; I'm sure they'd try to sell it off for cash, rather than actually play it, so I doubt that befriending method would work in the short-term.

Buy some of that powder the cops use and dust your place down. If you find any fingerprints use a microscope to find out what the person(s) look like. If you search around your house maybe you can find a shoe print, us eplaster to fill it in then... hey buddy, i lost over 3000$ worth of stuff, i kept my door double locked and my windows locked. the person who jacked my shit prolly knew my housemate (who i did not ask to live with), cuz my room was opened with a spare key and the front porch door was opened after i had left for break. so dont lecture me on keeping my shit safe when im already going through some shit. fvcking have some heart man.
