Alright, I decided to bring a debate to Loungin', even though it's centered around sports, I'd like a broader aspect.

Anyway, in my experience, anyone who has played golf knows how tough it is to play it well, and it is somewhat physically demanding. Definitely not as much as football or baseball but it is.

But most people see people playing golf on TV and think it's not that tough. You definitely need to have a lot of core strength, or else you are gonna suck.

So what do you guys think Loungin'?

No I don't really consider it a sport but it is a great game. The greatest game.

Edit: Sixpack, the toughness isn't just mental strain, it's physical too. If you play golf competitively, without any training for the attack on your ab muscles, you'll eventually tear a muscle.

Many definitions you see on the various websites are subjective and people have written to them about changing them.

There's a reason why this game is considered a sport, even if some ppl refuse to accept it.

Golf/Chess/Poker = Mental Sport

Football/Futbol/Rugby/Boxing = Physical Sport

Baseball = both.

For the record, I accept that it's a sport. But I do not accept that it should be a sport.

How is golf all mental? It's just as much both to me. If you don't need muscles, I'd just have a 20 MPH swing speed.
