I don't think I'll go to an university, I'll finish this year and then continue three years on the Music line before getting a job/becoming famous.

I'm at Uni.
You have 25 years to pay off the debts. You can take a 5 year break from paying them off at any time, and you only pay back when you earn more than 15k a year. You can choose to live at home which saves you getting loans. There are more than just lectures. I'm in a classroom for like 6/7 hours a week. The grades can actually be pretty low, especially if you choose a foundation year. All that means is you're at uni for an extra year, learning to make up for your poor grades ------------------- ![]() He pauses shaving and he tells himself that he is the bomb

In Scotland you only pay your loan debt off if your earning more than double it or something. I dont see why your even considering it, the prospect of getting a degree can double your future earnings, not to mention open a whole new world of Academia to you.

I go to a university and I think it's definitely worth it. You get better jobs anywhere than if you were to graduate from college. However, the tuition has been rising but luckily, my scholarship pays most of my tuition. It still is quite a hefty sum for me to pay the rest seeing as I'm an international student and we basically pay 3X the amount residents pay.
In short, yes. It's definitely worth it in the long run.

I think the pros greatly outweigh the cons. Yes, college is insanely expensive, especially if you're paying out of state tuition, but all the friends you make from classes, clubs, sororities, or whatever method you choose--it really makes the whole experience great. Just don't procrastinate, take notes in class, study a little, and do your homework, and you'll get through much better than you'll expect.
If you join the military, they'll pay for your college, if you have scholarships, that will pay for college, if you get good grades, even that will help you out. There are many opportunities to take advantage of. Once you graduate college with a degree, you will make much more money than a high school graduate. ------------------- ![]()

Probably not going now.
Considering my career plans, and how apparently it doesn't matter if I jump in in six/seven years with my fancy accounting degree or if I spend those four/five years after college earning a living, I think I might be better off not going. I might have a change of heart at some point after further research, but if the option to do just as well out of life and get out of the classroom four/five years earlier is available then I'm damn well taking it. -------------------
