We had a dimond cutter come to our house once and he said that there isn't a glue that sticks them quite right, so most of them end up being swallowed at some point. Most people replace them with fakes.

actually thats pretty dangerous. these are diamonds for crying out loud. they can cause serious internal damages - anything from some small cuts to serious hemorrhaging.
