Okay, so about a year and a half ago my sister gave me her dog because she didn't want him anymore. She only had him for about half a year and after dumping the dog on me never came to see him or pay for his food or anything like that.
Anyway now her boyfriend stole him and refuses to give him back so we called the police but basically since no one has adoption papers it's just their word against mine and nothing can be done. I don't really have the money to go to a solicitor or anything so how do i get my dog back? -------------------  | |

If you REALLY wanted it you could somehow try to prove to animal behaviourists that the dog prefers you to the other guy, which would show that you owned it for the longest.
