Well I kinda take a middle stance on this one. Battery Farming is wrong, Animals aren't designed to live in such small and appualing conditions. If they do have to resort to use factories they could atleast give them the space too walk around I mean High-rise the freaking building might cost more but more space, happier animals, better production.

Free range I am all for and most free range animals certainly do seem to look better and that. Most people go on about the slaughter methods being cruel and terrible. But apart from lobster the animal are usually knocked out with a quick electric charge before they are killed so are not in relisation of pain.

Also most animals aren't as self aware as humans and their reactions to pain are like you computers reactions to you typing on a keyboard. Most don't relise the emotion of pain like us humans do. We make out pain to be MORE then it is because we are self aware and understand pain to well.

Also what would kill them else wise if not us? predators... well they would put alot of pain on animals, more then most of our methods do. Disease? I don't even think I need to comment on that one. Simply put most animals will not just drop down dead they will suffer as will alot of us when we die, it's the way things go and nothing can be done about it.

If you read the bible what, ok I haven't but I know of the stories in it. Adam and Eve were forbidden to eat the meat of animals, they were only allowed to eat fruit. This stayed on until Noah came along. God asked Noah to save 2 of each animal. He said to Noah if he did this in return he would grant Humans the right to eat the meat of the animals.

It doesn't say about why they taste so good tho.

one thing tho... we have both. Most of the stuff goes to the richer countries. but if we shared better what we have instead of stuffing ourselfs with like 8 times more food then we need world hunger would probably be less of a problem... But also say if you toke a feild, you built a building 5 stories higher there, you put solar panels on top, you but earth in it and use mirror to get sun light into every level.

You could have better solution then battery farming is today but people are too greedy and won't do it because they only thinking of their pockets instead of long term. It's not as like their are people out their who don't have the money, quite a few do... but people just don't care... sigh.

Still that would sort out both problems now... but neither will be done until a reason for the greedy to do so is found...

yeah i was going to say that too. the film is true, and i have actually seen animals being treated poorly around where i live. ofcourse nothing compared with that film, but it was still bad.

No. You shut the *bleep* up. He's right. I'm not sure about chickens but with cows, it's a good life. You get all the free food you want, you get good company, no politically correct bullshit or pop music shoved down their throats, and they get their heads chopped off painlessly, and don't have to worry about old age.

I don't know how anyone can go through their life without meat, infact, it almost sickens me.
