	Do you think they're a necessary item in order to feel secure at all times? If you already own a gun, do you have a permit? Do you keep your gun locked? I feel like I need one around, just in case. I'll be getting my gun license this year. Afterwards I'll make a few purchases. I plan on keep my weapons out of plain view and locked for safety. ------------------- The Soul STILL burns! 	If it wasn't legal to have guns in america, people wouldn't need guns to feel safe, since no-one would have guns anyway. I don't like guns, and will never own one. But maybe thats just me being brought up with no guns. -------------------

	Same here fish. And this bullshit the NRA or whatever bringing up that it's a right, and is said in the constitution is insane. Yeah back in the 1800's guns were 1 shot, take 5 minutes to reload. Nowadays guns can kill a few dozen people in a few minutes. -------------------

	I heard almost everyone in Canada has a gun but there's more slayings in New York City itself then all of Canada, it's sad to say the least.

	Can a gun be used for "good" like you say? Guns are for killing. And if you kill someone, even if it's a thief robbing your house, you still go to jail.

Also, most of the time if you use a gun as self protection in the US, and can prove it was ONLY used for self protection in a case where someone broke into your house, you won't get penalized.

You can't use a weapon in defence unless the other person is aiming you with a gun too. If he's robbing your house armless, yet you shoot him, then you go to jail.
