Getting a Doctor's Note |
|
So. I've been sick for the past weekend, and missed my shifts for work Sunday and today, Monday. So my boss calls ans says that for two or more days missed I need a doctor's note. Thing is, it's a stomach fllue, nothing major, but bothersome enough to keep you from work. Definitely something that I've never gone to the doctor for. It just passes on its own. Secondly, I don't have the money to go to a doctor and go through an exam or whatnot just to get a note. What am I going to do???

I'm pretty sure faking a doctor's note is a federal offence.

Doctors notes are usually free.
Tell your boss that an appointment is booked and you will hand it in on your return. It's better doing this rather than getting fired, because you still should get sick pay. | |

Or borrow money from your parents.
