Okay... In chapter 1-3 right now, at the lake.. which i'm guessing would be the lovely end to this chapter. But that damn evil fishy with the satanic name, has eaten me twice already and i don't get how you 1. kill it with the harpoon and 2. dodge attacks. any ideas?

Use the regular left thumbstick to move around, that's pretty easy to accomplish. Pull it all the way left or all the way right to avoid hitting the tree trunks in the water. When you have a clear path, lift up a harpoon and throw it at the creature.
If you do happen to get knocked out your boat then obviously just swim quickly to get back, it's not difficult at all.
Harpoon the creature as often as you can when you're being towed by it, those are the easiest times to hit it. Always stay VERY WIDE to avoid the debris (emphasizing these two points again).
Whe nthe boat is standing still and the creature is coming for you, look around fast to make sure you know where it is coming from. Then do not throw the harpoon immediately, but rather WAIT until you can see it opening its mouth. Once it's close enough, throw the harpoon into the monsters mouth and it should dive underwater without crashing into you. Don't leave this too late or it will still crash into you anyway.

To sum up: Stay wide, harpoon it while in tow, and aim for the mouth when still. That should get you through it easily...

thanx. I noticed the moving thing on a 3rd try, only 3rd time u get knocked in u'r dead. heads up for anyone else. (keep in mind i don't have any extra health items.)

what i usually did is just stab the giant fish in the tail but if he does a tight turn, thats your turn to act. you have move where he goes if you dont you'll fall have to button mash the A button. and when the fish is diving with the mouth open and good enough range, hit in the mouth a few times.. once you did enough damage it goes in the deep down in the lake but the rope is tied down in your foot and have to press A rapidly to cut it off with the knife..


man those boulders are pain in the ass..

I've been getting pounded by the chief guy, or whatever his name is. Before the intial battle there is a cinematic where Leon apparently destroys him by shooting a barrel of gas. The boss that you fight in some barn. Anyway I get him down to were you just fight the top half of him (if that makes sense to those who have been there). However I just can't seem to defeat him when I get to that point. Any pointers?

yea lol i'm stuck on that guy too he's crazy. i even sold my shotty and some other stuff to buy a rockelt launcher but he still owns me cause once i shoot him with it his body splits in half and his torso swings aroudn he's insane. anyone beat him?

Sorry, can't help you guys there. I'm still at the little house where like 40 zombies come. Can someone give me some tips on how to beat that part? What I've done is first push the shelves in front of the all but the window over by Luis and keep shooting at the window until I the other zombies break in. After that I get the ammo and herbs that are all over the first floor of the house and unload with the Shotgun until Luis tells me to run upstairs. After that I try to knock down all of the ladders and hold them off from the stairs with the rest of the Shotgun ammo. At first can I just run upstairs and kill everyone not fighting Luis because he has infinite life?

Well what you're doing is the best method dude. To put it simple, once upstairs the MAIN thing you're going to want to do is try to keep knocking those ladders over. The less enemies you have in the house the better. However, sooner or later they will get in just because there are way too many of them to fend off.

My advice: Arm the shotgun. Always wait until the last second to fire. What some people will do is run around frantically shooting one enemy at a time. But what I found to be a better method is to get your self into a corner, then wait as long as possible without getting hit for the enemies to group up in front of you. Keep your aim low (at the legs) if possible. Doing this method you should knock down a good 4 or 5 villagers at a time which buys you time to re-organize yourself. You don't kill them sure but you're not really trying to, you just want to keep them off your back...

My first piece of advice is try not to stand still. If you're both still in front of each other he'll stab the life out of you (literally, haha). What you want to do is go from side to side of the barn trying to make him swing as much as possible. This gives you enough time to organize yourself. When he swings into range, shoot him once, then while he is all disoriented run to the other side of the barn and wait to do this again. Make sure he is close enough though that when you hit him he swings around. If he's too far away and you shoot him then he's just going to keep coming at you. Keep doing this until he dies.
My personal weapon of choice here was the Shotgun. However if you have something more powerful go ahead and use that. I also found it very helpful to use the various levels of the barn. Climb to the top level, wait for him, blast him, jump to the bottom and run to the other side, wait for him, blast him, climb up again, etc...

You can also try to blast the barrels. I never did it but I'm assuming that's what they're there for...

As far as the Chief goes, Hit him once with the rocket launcher to get to his second form quicker. The when hes swinging around, shoot him with the rifle. just keep moving, it takes a while, but it works.

And, im on chapter 3-4, luis was just killed, and ashley is screaming for help below me, ive been running around for literally th last 2 hours, and cannot find a way to get to her. its really starting to piss me off.

Dude I know your pain, haha! I ran around for a good 45 minutes, went all over the place.

Anyway, here's what to do. Take out your rifle (I REALLY hope you have one), and stand on that small staircase slope opposite Ashley. Then what you need to do is shoot off the metal rings holding her. Be careful not to kill her though. What you want to do is aim at the rings on the side of her body so that you don't do any damage to her when you break them. If you hit them right they'll break...

I tried this first time I saw her but I aimed at the ring directly in front of her and when you do that you kill her, so I didn't think to try it again. But just make sure she isn't behind where you are aiming and it'll work fine.

In Summary: Break the rings holding her

In the barn when fighting the chief of the village I discovered a little corner where you can stand without being touched when the boss is in his second form. All he do is try to stab you but he cant so i killed him with my punisher. I dont remember exactly where's the spot but I know its on the second floor in one of the corner.

For those who might have little problem with the El Gigantos, try some flash grenade, which will stone him and use your shotgun.

i beat the village cheif. i just kept shootin him with my pistol and when he's in his second form i blasted him with the rocket launcher. not so tough anymore are ya?

so what do i do after that with the truck?
