I kicked his ass.
 I still think the first boss battle was way cooler than the next 2 with El Gigante and the mutated village chief, although they were still pretty cool. But are the boss battles gonna get better than that first one or what? Because that would kinda suck if the first boss of the game turned out to be the coolest battle. -------------------

Eh it depends really some are cool while others are just a waste of time.
I myself loved the ending boss battle the best out of them all very action orientated and the only one that was a real challenge, well at least somewhat and the music added to the effect. -------------------  | |

I used a rather simpler strategy on the Village chief...
Basically I unloaded the TMP onto him on both forms. Used a bit of rifle and shotgun on the first form too though. The TMP OWNS his second form. -------------------

If this is mentioned already, please point me to it as I'm too lazy to go through all ten pages
 I'm at the Mendez guy (Village Chief), and I can easily get through the first part of the battle without getting hurt. For the second part, I'm having a really hard time because the room is really bright and I can't see the crosshair or the monster well and it always uses surprise attacks. Sometimes I see L+R dodge but it rarely appears. He also swings everywhere in the room and it's hard to shoot him. I have exactly 10 shotgun bullets and around 20 rifle bullets and hundreds of Red9 bullets left. Run all the way to one side of the barn and keep firing at him. When he gets close, quickly run to the other side of the barn and repeat this process until he dies.
Basically make sure he never gets near you. Oh and try to blow up the barrels when he is near them. ------------------- | |

Well a good way is to just stand your ground as well and fire away with the shotgun bullets when he gets close. Usually knocks him back a few and won't hit you. (mostly)

Huh?
You don't need there to be eyes >_< Just shoot him. You can even kill him without ever shooting the eyes. Takes a lot of ammo though, but it can happen. I did it with the typewriter. -------------------

When it seems like there are no eyes, you need to run to the other side of him, and turn around quickly. There will be two there or something like that. You need to fire quickly, or else he'll turn. If there is an explosive barrel nearby, that works extremly well. Don't forget to use your knife to take out his main eye. It'll save some serious ammo.

all the eye legs on sadler can be shot out twice, except for the two in the back they can only be shot once. The best gun to use is the striker for the leg eyes. and the more eye legs you shoot out the more money he dropes at the end. you dont have to criple him to shoot his main eye, and you can use the cranes to criple him too. If you have a rocket lancher save the special one and sell it to the merchant for twice the money of a regular one. I have also found that on the el gigantes when you shoot there paricite rather than sclice it, depending on the gun you use it dose more damage, this could also carry over to the eye on sadler.

Well, I ran around a bit and shot him with a Rocket Launcher and some Assualt Rifle in areas that seemed vital (face, tentacles, torso)...NOTHING!? Okay, what to do, what to do?
