LOS DOS GIGANTES (Spoilers for those who haven't gotten this far)

I just completed this battle. For all those out for the Pesatas (and who isn't?), there's an easier way to get both 15,000 amounts than battling both of them (not dropping one into the fire). The usual way to battle one of them is shoot the scar on it's back, wait for it to drop to it's knees, then jump on it's back and slash away. (You have to do this 3 times). In order to get both 15,000 amounts, you would have to do the "usual" to BOTH of them! A much easier way to do this is blast one of them with the Rocket Launcher, he dies and leaves 15,000 pesatas. Cause the other one to fall into the fire, let it die (there won't be 15,000 pesatas, it went down with him), run back to the Merchant, save the game, run back to the "LOS DOS GIGANTES" room, and in the middle of the floor you will see the little light beam (item to pick up), walk over, pick it up, you just got the second 15,000 pesatas!

So let me see if I have this correct.... YOUR advice to get the 30,000 total reward, is to FIRST buy a 30,000 point weapon and use it?

So in other words you gain nothing...

It's a lot better to drop one, then to kill the other with a shotgun or something...

Don't gain anything? You make it through the boss fight with no trouble no loss of health. If you have the money why not. I had tons.

No....if YOU read it correctly, I didn't say anything about buying a Rocket Launcher, this was if you had the Rocket Launcher to begin with. (I had purchased the RL a while back and saved it for such a battle). This "advice" is only for those who already HAVE a RL. This explanation is strictly for Phantasy_Lord. The only reason that I posted this was I thought this was a Forum to help your fellow gamers along. I didn't realize that it was a forum to be ridiculed for trying to help.

Tis true PL he didn't mention anything about buying one, and i know you can pick up a rocket launcher for free before hand to in one of the rooms. (I believe it's the room right after you are caged in with one of those blind claws guys).

and yes thats a positive gain of 30,000 depending on how you get it and it cuts time and life and ammo in half if not by 90% (10% being the rocket launcher used)

Having trouble with the Chainsaw Guy? Here's what you do so that you never get hit. As soon as you see the Chainsaw Guy, run to the left side of the window (opening). The Chainsaw Guy will stop firing, walk over to the window and attempt to climb out. That's when you unload your Striker into him. He will fall several times and continue to try to climb out, if you have any Magnum, shoot him a couple of more times and he will die.

I wasn't giving the kid crap or ridiculing him I was merely pointing out the ALTERNATIVE to people that if they like, they can just save 30,000 instead, drop the one in the lava and kill the other with a shotgun and get 15,000. I was giving what I thought would work better...

I've found such conventional methods very helpful in this game in which you use the hopping threw a window or climbing a ladder animation to avoid being hit when obviously you should have been hit or possibly killed, little glitches like this have saved my butt more than a few times in RE4 and they've also saved me time and ammo.

I never said you were i was simply stating that you hadn't read it correctly and i also gave another alternative to and yes i did choose to do what you listed my first time through myself and it's a very good one to take with you and it also depends on the situation the player is in, does he have a grip load of money but is short on ammo? or is he overloaded with ammo and has a lack of funds? either way you cut it both ways work out just fine

Bah! Use the brokenbutterfly/Killer7 pop the bastards in the head, once or twice a peice, then use the same butterfly/killer7 to shoot that damn thing that pops out of their back....bing bang, ur done, u waste at MOST this is like u wasteful little son of ..........u wasted 7 mag (usualy way less) and got 30K clean, without wasteing money WOOOT!

people should just get the chicago typewriter or the infinite rocketlauncher, this makes boss battles much faster (thats if you have accomplished beating the game and assignment ada and have payed 1,000,000 to get both)

haha well actually my plan is to save up, this round get a million dollars, buy the chicago typerwriter, and use that money to buy the infinite rocket launcher

What's the best weapon to use againts the mutated village chief? I have that old school handgun, the uzi, and shotgun.

I used a Rocket Launcher to split him in half. (Shotgun blasts allow him to get close enough to grab you and knock most of the life out of you). After he has split in half, run up the ladder (with the Shotgun as your chosen weapon), let him get close then shoot the explosive barrel (ground level)(note: the Explosive Barrel may have exploded due to the Rocket Launcher), he will lose most of his life, (but he will continue to jump from the rafters at you), then jump down, and all it takes is 2-3 Shotgun blasts to his head. (If the Expl. Barrel was blown up, just keep avoiding the VC by running back and forth in the shed, blasting his head when he is close enough). The Village Chief will fall and die, then you will get the False Eye and 30,000 Pesatas.

*In order to destroy the Mutating Village Chief, keep shooting his Spine until he breaks in half, the you must shoot his head several times.
