Considering the capabilities of the next gen consoles that is a definite possibility. Zombie infestation on a much larger scale...

Dead Rising has already shown us what next gen can do, from Capcom too. I am fairly sure whatever we've been seeking in a future RE will finally be implemented to due on part from fewer restrictions from disc space and internal hardware. Game programmers are becoming more skilled in their field and the next gen tech is really user friendly so that goes to show that it is possible.

I've seen youtube videos of people knifing El Giangte and it'd depend on if you can use grenades too (flash bangs), with the flahs ones the whatever the prisoner type creatures are (with the huge blades, blind) they can be distracted. I saw the guy knife them as well. It's relaly funny how I had such trouble with some and he was able to knife the suckers. So I wouldn't be surprised but I'd hate to not have my shotgun, rifle and TMP.(Yeah I used the TMP as a sort of backup, or for high populated areas)
And with Krasuer you could use a knife and handgun. El Gigante, the right hand man and so forth all CAN be knifed. Even the Regenerators can be knifed takes lots of time...It'd fit fine in my opinion to do knife and handgun only. ------------------- ----~~~~~~~~~~~---- ------------------- I like the laser aiming, the action knife battle but perferably the second semi-fight when your running to collect the key type things, Where you could hit the dodge buttons and fight back not just the dodge buttons. I think some action should be placed in the fights but the scare isn't there in RE4 in my opinion. I poped in RE2 and started playing it again and like the one door you go to go out and zombies come in, scared teh sh*t out of me, just was a rare jump. A surprise. I perfer that scare. I think if they combined some of the tactics from Resident Evil 4 and the other old ones in the series they could have a perfect game. I like the idea of it being a huge city or something, maybe take something out of Dead Rising where you can supposely build barricades and build up into a building. Make it where you move the chests in front of doors and stuff so you have to hide out, maybe? It'd be an interesting tactic to have to block doors and stuff otherwise they'd come in and get you. I think simple things alot. I also like the idea of going through a second time gets you your upgraded stuff and gold still in the next time around. So you can build and easier work, so a fight can be a easier as you play through. BUT!! Maybe not a merchant nessarcaly, as A merchant in a special place like that I'd say thats odd to but they should be a way to upgrade guns too. -------------------

I'm a little sadistic. Apart from that little doggy and Ashley (though with her I wish...) I go by the idealogy that if it moves I shoot it (or knife it depending).

I must secure every area before I move on to the next. No-one is spared. I like that once baddies are down, they're down for good, but a couple of times I backtracked a bit (to get missed treasure or unload goodies by selling to the merchant) and there were new enemies where I had killed them all. It's OK, though, because once that second group was down, all was quiet for good (so I can believe they were new people - not respawned)
I was just thinking about why I don't mind that just about everything respawns in the Metroid games. Answer: because of infinite ammo (on some weapons...and replacement ammo for all the other weapons always available (plant pods, reload stations, or Samus' ship) Another question about how people play RE4: Does anyone else hoard money like I do?? I finished my first playthrough with 1.6 million pesetas because I did not want to spend money on upgrading. A side bonus is the extra challenge, I guess. I put the firepower of the semi-auto rifle up a few notches, but other than that: NO UPGRADING. Has anyone else played like that? ...especially on their first playthrough? By the way, I'm playing on Professional mode now, and I was NOT HAPPY to find out that all my hard-earned money couldn't carry over to a new mode. | |

it would be awesome if they have a duel wield feature in one of the next/future RE games. Not so sure how it would work but if they could make it work somehow then that sounds real cool lolz.

re: General RE4 Discussion Thread |
quoteDone in Outbreak already. Kinda. But it sucked. You could use a nailgun to barricade a certain door, and you could use your body to hold doors shut. Never really did any good though, it just slowed the zombies down for a bit. If you could do things PROPERLY that would kick serious ass. Especially if you could work with other human players in a whole city of undead... quoteErr, there's always been a way to upgrade your guns, ever since RE2. And I don't know about you, but I prefer the old way myself. I don't like BUYING upgrades. -------------------
