My friends and I used to play Diablo all the time until my computer crashed. My mom thinks that it crashed because of my game, but I dont think so. Im trying to convince my mom so I can play Diablo II to again. Could Diablo 2 haved cause my computer to crash?

P.S. Im going to show this to her if Diablo was not the reason it crashed thanks.

Did you play on the internet? what processing speed did you have? were you on AOL or something? was this a 1 time thing or does it keep crashing? were you on open b.net?

So your mother isn't allowing you to play it again until you can prove it wasn't DII's fault? I know games can cause a computer to restart, but not crash (crashing is when you lose your computer information). Probably the computer's fault in that case.

I played on the internet sometimes but mostly offline. I was on AOL. I think it was a one time thing because nobody else has crashed and my computer has crashed again (I think because of weathe bug, It went crazy and I turned off the tower and that was it.) If it helps any I have Windows XP

I'd rather blame it on Weatherbug. That thing's a nuance. I'll just check Yahoo! if I want my weather, haha. Not sure what else it could be, really.

so, in that case, yes. it was not D2's fault. It was the weatherbug program. Also, make sure to clean out your internet stuff. Cookies, temporary net files, etc.

can It cause your computer to crash if you play it online?

If it does it's your Internet's fault, not DII. Wouldn't be a difference from single player to multi-player.

Also if your computer crashed, it could be from someone who was hacking in the game, not sure if d2 crash hacks are as common as they were on sc, but it happens. Had that happen to me on sc because someone didn't want to lose. Stupid hackers.

I was only hacked into once, and it may not have even been a hack. Someone managed to figure out my CD-Key, so I couldn't use DII when they were online with my CD-Key. Really pissed me off at the time, but I don't see them anymore (was like a year ago).

There is a chance that Diablo 2 was the problem. If you use too many cheats too many times it WILL crash the computer. But this occurence is rare. In fact, i've only seen it happen twice and that was on mine and my brother's computers. But yeah the only way it was d2's fault was that you were using cheats too often. What! It's not like the game's posessed... or is it?

Yeah, Diablo knew he was going to get owned by you, so he hacked into your computer and crashed it before he was killed. Hey, it could happen

I installed it back today. But my mom still thinks it was D2's fault so thats why I didnt tell her and I hide all of the files i could find in my Downloads folder.

My parents would blame all of my problems on video games, one way or another. Like when I hurt my wrist moving furniture, they blamed it on me playing games too much.... uh noooo, I hurt it when I was moving furniture. There's no argument there, heh heh.
