I'm in nightmare, and have much gold, lots of perfect gems--is there any use for these? I can't buy nightmare grade stuff.
Some of the formulas found in the guides for the cube do not work, ie 3 perfects gem and majic item yields gmagic socketed item. Should I save all my gems? I see runes on the trading board. When/where do they appear. Should I save my solder's rune sword for that time? | |

I used 6 perfect gems on the Soldiers Rune Sword and got a King's Rune sword. Being greedy, tried 6 perfect with the King's and got a Slayer's. Glad I saved with the King's. Seems tranmutting is random.
Both the Soldier's and King's Rune Sword are just magical (blue letters), not rare or unique. Again--tell me about runes. | |

In act4 isnt there a quest you get gems from... can you do it multiple times or only once?

you can only do the act 4 quest ( the forge ) once per difficulty. The countess a unique monster you can get runes from in act 1 the tower can be done many times. Gems are not really hard to get.
