everyone keep talking about flying vehicles like halo, i didn't see anything in this game that can fly, hovering does not count, so....is there realli a flying vehicles in this game, i've never seen one though

I'm a bit late to this, but ya. you have to make some. Also, to pilot them, you could always hack the mpvehicles.txt file and go to multiplayer to start a server

Bomers can fly, but you can't pilot them. I've even tried shooting the pilot so I can hop in but that won't happen either.

You could try going up to a really high moutain and flying down, or keep holding down 'E' which is jump. I've found if you hop out of your ship, call a Tug or Hauler over to pick your ship up and when he picks it up, press the 'C' key to jet pack up into your ship. Tell the Tug to go somewhere and he'll pull you! But the sound is a bit anoying.
