I've always been curious about exactly what Dr. Zaius knew about Taylor's true origins. Did he really know that Taylor was an astronaut from the Earth's past? When he said; "...all my life I've awaited your coming and dreaded it...", exactly what did he mean by that? Also, he reamrks that; "...yes, I have always known about man...". Finally, he remarks; "...don't look Taylor, you may not like what you find...". This of course requires that Zaius knew exactly what Taylor would find. So am I right that knew all along who Taylor really was?

I think it's implied that he knew about mankind's past, and feared intelligent humans might reappear some day, through evolution. Not specifically Taylor or an astronaut.

He may have seen the Liberty statue before, or simply known that the clues to Earth's past would be found in that general area.
