Who here has beaten Xan? I've beaten the game in easy but I went up to expierienced and can't beat him.

I've beaten Xan within about 5 attempts, but I think it was a medium level setting. You just have to have the skills to kill him imo

hes hard, try to lure him outside, if you connect a rocket there youll send him into hiperspace, you wont get points for this though but i think he losses 1 point or so

Xan is a real tough one, i've beaten him on most difficulty settings but even on easy he takes a couple of tries to kill.

God mode is impossible to beat him on. But I agree, blow into space and it sets him back. Just get as many powerups as possible and keep firing rockets and flak grenades. The armour should hold out long enough for you to get a kill in.

What I did was get all the powerups and then go outside and wait where the power rifle is. When he jumps for you, strafe around a bit dodging fire and blow him out of the sky. Thats what I did anyway.

that's easy just do the following:
(start the match so you have a weapon)
1. press the (~) key to bring up message box
2. type "iamtheone"
3. type "playersonly"
4. type "loaded"
5. type "allammo"
6. type "god" or "fly" and "ghost"
7. type "playersonly"
8. press(~)
9. select wanted weapon
10. press (~)
11. type "playersonly"
12. seek and destroy with your 999 full ammo guns
13. do steps 10-12 until you've won the watch
Cheats:
Playersonly- only you can move
god- god mode on
fly- can fly and god mode on
ghost- can go through walls and fly,god mode on
loaded- all guns (no redeemer)
allammo- 999 ammo for all weapons. if you have a redeemer i sugest you put on fly
iamtheone- allows you to do cheats

I think he meant how to beat him WITHOUT CHEATING!!!!!

It spoils the achievement if you cheat to kill him.

I cheated the first time but it was to easy. Its way funner when hes more challenging. He takes the invisibility too much though..

I have never successfully been able to defeat Xan. I have come close, but have neer done it.

Yes, I too sadly have not beatin the great one, he has been my only worthy opponent. But someday, someday I shal prevail over him. The other day I thought I had him with a 9 to 14 winning streak, but with his aimed rockets and sheild belt, he got me at 15 to 13 .

I finally beat Xan for the first time today!!!, (with the help of the God Mode cheat). but that doesn't matter to me because I finally beat him and claimed the final trophy.

The way I kicked his ass was just hung around the Health viles and Shield belt, that way, every time he tried to kill me it would take incredible amounts to take me out. Then I used the rocket launcher to shove rockets up his ass til I won, and laughed my sorry ass off until I realized that I have no life for laughing at a video game so hard.

I basically did what was said in the post above this one, except instead of the rocket launcher I'd charge-up the secondary fire on the bio-rifle because it is oneshot kill, so when he'd turn the corner I'd just unload on him. He still managed to kill me 12 times though that skillful bastard.

I have defeated Xan on all levels including Godlike. It was definitly not an easy task. I did not use cheats because i think it spoils the challenge. I usually stay around the hallway were the health vials and sheild belt are and armed with a rocket launcher or flack cannon because those take out a lot of damage out of him.
