I found this sad news on the PSX Extreme website:

"According to an EA representative, Alien: Colonial Marines is currently on hold and is no longer being developed for the PS2. The game was a no-show at E3 and Electronic Arts has since updated us on the game's status. Collaborated on by EA and Fox, the two companies are currently deciding what to do with the game. Although it looks as though it may be cancelled, the game could be picked up in the future. PSX Extreme will bring you more information on this PS2 shooter as soon as we receive another update."

thats a real bummer man.i was quite looking forward to this game.hope it doesnt turn the way of 360 challenge.

o man, that sucks. i was really looking forward to it after playing aliens on psx. also i saw some screen-shots that looked cool, but o well.

That is bad news, and it gets on my chestal protrusions that such a potentially firing product may be cancelled. What a shame.

There is no information about this game on either Fox Interactive or Electronic Arts websites. In fact I can't find any new information about this game since the first screenshots were released earlier this year. If this game were to be released in December then I think we would have more pictures/news by now.

This is horrible news. Its not so much that its been cancelled for PS2 but cancelled all together? sh!t, damn, motherf#cker! this was so promising but then again, maybe it was garbage considering i saw screens of this game since PS2's launch and it was supposed to come out like 18 months ago

To be honest, I'm not too concerned anymore. There's hype, then there's overkill. I'm afraid this game exceeded the threshold a long before I stopped giving a crap.

I was pretty hyped about this game after playing Alien vs. Predator 2 for the PC... Best...suspense...ever! But I just stopped caring after a while, so I guess this doesn't really effect me as much as it might have if I learned about this earlier.

This truly does suck! I have been waiting for this game for the past couple of years. As an X-Alien Online participant, this was the closest thing that I have seen to my former 3 year addiction to on-line gaming with "GameStorm". I truly hope that someone wises up to the potential of this game and makes the realization that there are some of us that truly want to see this become a reality.
