i cant hurt the phantom evil king with any of my attacks where can i get black cat jewels to help me

You have to hit him with magic, dear. Don't use the black cat jewels, they only do 10 damage.

no they don't they take half of his HP. I use them for him.

Hm, weird. It didn't work for me...I just used magic bottles. Ah, either way. If you're high enough level and using your main magic users, you should be able to win, no problem.

As for Eppy-san, make sure you have both Black Cat jewls,
(One is from Big Bull's dungeon, the other is from the research center) I'd be on level 50 or so for this battle.

First have Linda and Rosalyn in the party. Now use rosalyn and Ari to fight off all the swords. Linda can heal whenever someone is hurt, but keep your LP up as much as possible, you'll need it. After all the swords are dead, make sure you save a turn for Linda. (press wait on one of her turns, to make sure she can use it instantly later) Then use either Ari or Rosalyn for this next manuver. Use a Black Cat jewl on each of their turns. (sounds crazy, just trust me.) then as soon as you do that use Linda's stored turn, (press the O button) and use the highest level of healing she has. (maybe replenish) and heal all your characters as much as possible. Then just use Rosalyn to attack Epros with her highest Ice spell, and use Ari and Linda for healing only, and eventually he'll die.

Me? Well, I used bottles, neva used black cat jewels, got lots of big nuts and I used big Bull and Rozy. And neva use Kisling and soon enough u win and I used combine attacks on the swords.

Once I beated him with out dying. (yes hard to belive.) But tis true. See my hands there blue too! Lol.

What I did was this:

Have Linda and Rosalyn in your party.

First, finish off all of the Masterless Swords. A few rounds with Ari's Overdrive in burst form should take care of them, with Rosalyn standing by to do some hacking and slashing with her rapier where needed.

Use Linda as a cleric. Before you battle, make sure's she's learned Replenish. Since her attack and HP aren't as powerful, and she doesn't have any magic attacks, this will help tremendously, and take away the burden of having either Rosalyn or Ari waste a turn to heal. Also use her to distribute Wild Strawberries and Big Nuts. Since you'll be using magic, you'll need a source of LP recovery, so make sure you buy a lot.

After the Masterless Swords are gone, have Rosalyn continually hit Epros with the highest Ice magic she has. Crystal is the best, so make sure she's learned it. Since Ari isn't that magically adept, have him use a bottle or two. He can heal at this point in time as well.

Using the Black Cat Jewels is really helpful, and you might want to do that before anything else. Just make sure Linda's standing by to heal you, and you should be fine. It takes a while, and a lot of HP, but this was my strategy and I beat him.
