I just wanted to know since it is by far my favourite game/series how many people think Shenmue 1&2 were great games?

well, i never played shenmue 1, but i have shenmue 2 and it is great. never completed it though but thats cause i didnt give it enough time. good game, great concept, amazing attention to detail, the way it should be!

Yes, I LOVED the two Shenmue games, and I'm eagerly awaiting news of the third game.... I hope they will confirm it for us! It's been so long waiting to know if it's really coming or not!!

I'm huge Shenmue fan, but It should be on PS2, not XBOX. Sega needs to buy it back from MSX, and put it on there. I mean really, VF series is PS2 exclusive because Yu Suzuki wanted to "expose as many people possible to VF series, and the PS2 is the perfect vehicle for the job.", why not do the same with Shenmue?

I liked Shenmue a lot, but I dont want to buy an XBOX just to get Shenmue 2. Does anyone know where I can import the sequel?

I loved Shenmueand I thought it way different from other games, but I never got to play the second one. I thought it was the greatest. Why did it come out as a sequel on XBOX though. I also heard that Shenmue 2 was the last chapter of the saga. If it is, I think that the whole Shenmue experience is the best.

I think Shenmue 2 became a sleeper hit for the Xbox, not many people either knew this game or those never tried out..

I played Shenmue 1 on DC, and i would have to say that this is one of those games that i really got into with the characters, a definite up par in movie/game formula base..

I mean the whole game itself has some realism, no fireballs being thrown or no one jumping 20 feet in the air..

Although i never liked the whole idea of getting a job and stuff, as much as people uses of getting a job as a realism, it won't be much of a realism the fact that Ryu never takes a shower or does washroom breaks nor eat much in both games.. lol

I never got to finished Shenmue 2, so i dont know whatever happened to the storyline.. just because of the whole job idea.

The story definetly does not end with Shenmue II Probably part of the reason why I've been obsessing over this game for so long is that I'm yet to know how the story ends!

Shenmue 1&2 are like probably one of the best games EVER.

By the way does anyone know what console the 3rd ones coming out for? Please tell me if you know.

I don't know if its officially been announced but if you go to Gametrailers.com, there is an FMV clip that you can view using Quicktime called Shenmue Online..

And its registered under PC category, the clip starts off with Ryo in the building holding the medallion(that green thingy?) in front of the guy who killed his father on the roof top, he is surrounded by bunch of thugs..

Then all of a sudden, all this people start showing up evening out the match with Ryo and bunch of people against his nemesis and his thugs..

Which i guess is indeed signifying an online community play..

Ah yes, I'd forgotten to mention Shenmue Online for some reason It looks like this might work as a sort of MMORPG "side quest" in the Shenmue-verse. Hero's Destiny put together a News thread about it here.
