Do you mean the VMU came with game saves already on them and it won't load them? It's possible the data on them has become corrupt or something if it won't load. The games should definetly recognise a VMU in the 1st Control pad in the 1st slot. -------------------

Hmmm, sounds like it should be working then if it brings up the icons. I would try formatting them, I seem to remember having to do that for other memory cards. If there's no data on them anyway there isn't anything to lose by formatting. You can do that by loading up the Dreamcast with no games in and going to the VMU menu on the screen -------------------

I'm pretty sure HOTD doesn't save your progress, at least my HOTD2 game didn't, I'd always have to start from the begining again if I died. I don't remember whether Quake III Arena did or not though. It's a shame you don't have a game I could remember the save points on like Shenmue or Sonic Adventure 2 ^^; -------------------
