How to beat Saturos and Mardini |

How do you defeat them on top of the venus lighthouse? I've tried everything and I'm reviving like crazy but still not winning!

Please explain your tactics and lvl...
as well as equipment... The best advice without that info would be to constantly heal with Mia. Have Ivan support with protect and impact, etc, as well as attack with strong psynergy and heal with items occasionally. Isaac and Garet are your primary attackers, with Isaac healing when Mia and Ivan cannot. I recommend you do not use high level summons...or any at all. And keep your HP and PP high throughout the fight. You should heal everytime you get hit. ------------------- Do not side with fools, it will only lead to your destruction.

I tend to use the Ninja (Isaac, 3 Fire 4 Wind), Samurai (Garet, 4 Earth 3 Wind), White Mage (Ivan, 3 Earth 4 Water), Ascetic (Mia, 3 Water 4 Fire w/Flash) lineup, which is the best for this fight.
Isaac and Garet should have high attack power, just make sure Isaac has Warrior's Helm + Hyper Boots to boost criticals. Garet should be using his regular attack or Helm Splitter, it's a good 1 target spell. Ivan the White Mage can cast Wish whenever you need it and should have high PP, so don't even worry about running out. Mia in this setup is fairly weak, but that's okay because all she's going to do is Use and Set Flash every round. Flash is awesome as reduces all dmg by around 90%. Mia will still have Wish as an Ascetic so she can still function as a backup healer. Give Ivan a few Psy Crystals if you do worry about running out of PP.

Just warning you, beating the game with a level 22ish party is not easy in the slightest. Not impossible, but it gets close. You have to mainly rely on your two defense djinni Flash and Granite. Alternate using them so that you are protected every turn. When one has been used, use the other and set the used one back to normal, and vice versa. The other two members of your party it doesn't really matter what they do. When I did it, I built up my readied djinni and then summoned against them whenever I could, and then alternated in healing. It makes for a very long battle, but you'll eventually win.
There is always the option of going back to different places and leveling up. Storm lizards in Suhalla desert and the Tempest Lizard in the big pink whirlwind are pretty useful for getting lots of experience. I believe they are susceptible to venus as well, so killing them with a venus djinn would earn you EXP and a half. -------------------

You should try to get better armor for everyone.
Dragon scales usually goes to Isaac and the pp armor,as well as water jacket and water kimo, is fairly obsolete in that point in the game. ------------------- Do not side with fools, it will only lead to your destruction.

Hm...I should try a play-through using base equipment...I wonder how far I'd make it.
Anyway. Do you have 7 of each djinni for all of your characters? If not, that can make a huge difference in the tide of battle. As Light Druid said, a good strategy is to alternate between Granite and Flash, attacking with Ivan and Mia and healing when necessary. The process will take a lot longer, but is ultimately a lot safer, especially at lower levels. The next thing to fix is, as Zanshouken mentioned, your equipment. You'll find better armor than what you've got just by going to the weapon/armor shop in Lalivero or Lunpa. Also, while you're at that shop, talk to the weapon guy about artifacts and buy a Swift Sword for Ivan. It's not as good as the Kikuichimonji (K-sword) at the point in the game you're at, but it is still a great weapon for Ivan. And then buy the Crystal Rod for Mia. If you got the Gaia Blade from Venus Lighthouse (if you didn't get it, go get it. Now.), that should go to Isaac as he's the only one who can equip it anyway. Give Garet whatever gives him a decent amount of attack (an Assassin's Blade works well enough. Just throw some lucky medals into the spring at Tolbi). That should take care of weapons until you venture into Crossbone Isle where you can get the Muramasa+Cleric's Ring for Garet. If you have any game tickets, go to the Tolbi slot machines, save, and use them until you get four shirts (I recommend Mythril/running shirts) and four boots (I recommend Quick Boots and...that other pair of boots that boosts critical rates...the green ones...I can't remember. xD)Be sure to save each time you get one of the shirts/boots you need. That way you don't waste game tickets. ------------------- ...So click the banner and read *_*

quote CorruptionYou really only need the Mythril Shirts and Hyper Boots. At that point in the game, speed doesn't really matter as much as increasing your chance of Criticals. -------------------

Meh. I usually give Garet a running shirt and quick boots just because his speed is so atrocious. Other than that, though, yeah, I agree with you.
