Remember at the end when the credits come on and you hear Maria say,"Oh,my hair,it got messed up" or something like that and then you hear a gun shot.Well what do you think happened to her?Did the guy you play as kill her or fire a warning shot to shut her up?

belive me he killed her. I don't know about your game, but in mine, you hear a thud after.

There are several theories as to why, including the obvious one that she was annoying and he shot her just to shut her up, but I DOUBT that this was what Rockstar had in mind for the reason because it makes no sense. Why would he risk his life, bring a million dollars as ransom to rescue her and then get mildly annoyed at her whinning about her hair and nails and just kill her?

Personally, I believe that he PLANNED on killing her all along because she was the one who turned Salvatore and the rest of the Mafia against him when she lied and told him that her and Fido were an item. And in "rescuing her" he sort of kills two birds with one stone, her and Catalina. Remember that Catalina betrayed him from the beginning and he was always after her for revenge, so he could take out her and Maria at the same time and also eliminate all witnesses.

I never even thought of that, but i guess it could make sense. Both woman betrayed him so he took care of business. But i kind of liked the first one myself. As the story goes on he hates Catalina more and moer while falling for Maria. He risks his life to save her and all she can do is talk about how she ruined her nails. Thats why i liked the first idea. She just ticks him off after all that so he just takes her out. After all he went through, he didn't need that. I thought it was one of the best endings to a game. Hopefully GTA SA is more like it, story wise.

Yeah but I always thought that the Mafia was never really on Fido's side in the first place, so it wouldn't be possible for Maria to get the mafia against Fido. Fido's death was supposed to be some sort of repayment to another gang that were pissed at the Leone's, which is why Leone orders you to go and get that Cheetah in the Red Light District. It would blow up, you would die, and the gang that was pissed at the Leones would feel they got their revenge.

I always took the gunshot as a joke. R* knew that bitch was annoying, so to add in one more joke before the game ended, they had Fido shoot Maria. Any guy who has ever had to listen to a chick like Maria talk on and on would laugh and get the joke, because they know how Fido felt when he shot her.

I think "Fido" shot Maria because she was annoying and selfish or somthing to think about her hair when he just saved her life.Though Maria did say she loved him and stuff before she complained about her hair.

I totally agree. After he goes through all that for her, she complains about her nails. Fido has no patient for anyone, especially woman. Since a woman put him into to mess. There is alot of games were i hated the ending, Matrix is top on my list, but GTA3 had a classic ending. I think the story of GTA3 makes it better than Vice. Vice has all the cool stuff, cycles and helis, but the story made it a classic. Hopefully GTA SA has a combo of both.

-'kid'(luigi)
-'brother'(8 ball)
-'fido'(maria)


he isn't that much of a crazy mo fo, like tommy from VC, but he isn't exactly the pope's son either. I think that fido is a little more well behaved than tommy, simply because he treats women better, as stated by maria, but when you look at tommy and fido in other areas, killing, ruthlessness, and all around bad ass, they come out even.

It was just a joke. It didn't have to do with anything on the game. The credits always suck so they had to add just a little something. they didn't have to, but u know what i mean.

Just for the record, not many use the names 'Brother' or 'Kid', so Fido is a likely candidate for a real name. Erm, sort of. Although it isn't his name. It was just given to him since that's what Maria likes to call him most, adding on to the reason I just stated.
