Technically, hiigaran is taking the safe bet there, given that the community page has us over 5 million posts away from making that given goal... =D

thats something i dont understand actually. why does the post ID and the post count in the community forum differ so much?

From what I know, the post IDs continue going up even when previous posts are deleted. The count on the community page takes into account deleted posts, and only counts those posts which are still present on the site.

The post IDs are unique variables and have a set ID that won't be replaced....which is why they only go up. If you are going off the community page...you take into account all of those spammy guest and member posts which get deleted (such as general discussions).

does the community post count also include those posts that are under 72 characters or are those factored out as well?

Yeah, we definitely will reach the next milestone during this upcoming week. I would say this coming Friday or next Saturday at the latest.

Sorry to double post, but I just wanted to mention that we are about 7,000 poats away from reaching the 28th millionth post.

We should reach this milestone by tomorrow.
