Anyone know the name of this game! |
|
The game was a bit like X-com , it was with a couple of dudes in heavy suits fighting alliens and you had to station the men in corridors to fight off a endless stream of alliens(they auto shoot once faced in the right direction).while you tried to puzzle your way through the map to reach the end with most of your men alive.
And you could burn the allien spawn places with flamethrowers or grenades with specialized marines. Here is some things i remember from that game: You worked on a top down map kind off thingy to order your troops arround, but could possess any of the guys on the map to do special things like moving to a new position while shooting, or shooting down aliens the troop couldnmt handle. When a allien got close enough to grab you , you could fend them off with some electrical weapon with(what i did ) pushing all the buttons and hope for the best . I have been searching a long time on the net but couldnt find it Please if anyone know tell me

Could you be thinking of Alien: Resurrection for the PSone?

nope it was more like you controlled a squad of marines fighting alien life forms.
somewhat like this game: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/commandos2menofcourage/index.html?tag=result;title;7 But the nazis are aliens ( unlimited in number ) and the commandos are somekind of spacemarines You could point your marine in the right direction and it kept mowing everything down in that direction. But when it got atacked in the flank it would die very fast. So you had a another marine covering the direction a flank atack would come from. And when you had a alien spawn point covered by 1 or 2 marines the rest of your squad moved in and secured a area further down the path It was just a maze like map with alien spawn points where your squad had to reach the exit navigating the maze sorry its hard to explain for me

So, is this an RPG or is it an action/adventure/shooter?

Well its most similar to the X-com genre.
So i supose its sci-fi strategy genre. But its prolly a game not many people but me liked to play:) Love the unpopular games

quote VandaahlSo it's close to an RPG then. I'd love to help you, but I was never familiar with the PSone generation considering I was only around 4 years-old back then. -------------------
